Class of 1960 Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Class of 1960 has played a unique role in today’s Santa Clara. Several classmates have for many years spent significant time helping the University by serving as Trustees, Regents, and Fellows, and as active members of the Alumni Association and the Bronco Bench. A number are “Founders” of the University, each having contributed over their lifetimes more than $1 million to Santa Clara for funding endowed professorships, major buildings, and campus improvements — such as the library automation, the landscaping on the Alameda Mall and fencing of the various campus areas. Finally, the Class of 1960 takes great pride in the fact that a classmate was President of the University for two decades — Father Paul Locatelli. In honor of their 35th reunion, the Class of 1960 wished to demonstrate its support of the University by establishing this fund to provide scholarships for future students.

Impact

The Class of 1960 Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 to provide financial assistance for deserving undergraduate students with financial need.
