Edward S.J. and Harriet L. Cali Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship was created on March 20, 2007, by the estate of Edward S.J. Cali.
Edward was a graduate of Fremont High School, class of 1934 and Santa Clara University, class of 1938. He was President and General Manager of R. Cali & Bro. Feed, Grain & Trucking in Cupertino for over 40 years. A former member of the Board of the California Trucking Association, he was a past Planning Commissioner for the city of Cupertino, Director of First Valley Bank (formerly First National Bank of Cupertino) and Director of Gavilan Bank in Gilroy. He was also a member of the Board of Fellows of Santa Clara University. A past member of the Cupertino Lions Club, La Rinconada Country Club and De Anza Desert Country Club.
Edward’s son, Ron, is a member of the class of 1972 and the Board of Fellows. One of Mr. Cali’s grandchildren is an SCU alum, another is a current undergraduate student, and a third is a graduate student.
Impact
The Edward S.J. and Harriet L. Cali Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance for undergraduate students in the Leavey School of Business who require scholarship assistance to attend Santa Clara University.
