Frank Cepollina Family Endowed Scholarship

The Frank Cepollina Family Endowed Scholarship Fund was established on May 28th,1999 by Frank Cepollina ‘59. After graduating with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Frank “Cepi” Cepollina would go on to receive the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Reward in 1995 from SCU for his contributions to NASA. He was an inventor pioneered the concept of in-orbit satellite servicing. He was indicted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2003, and he would have a celebrated career at NASA as a deputy associate director, worked on NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope Development Project, and received NASA’s Exceptional Achievement Award.

Impact

The purpose of the Frank Cepollina Family Endowed Scholarship is to fund scholarships for deserving students majoring in Engineering.
