Henry and Marilyn (Hess) Hansel Scholarship Endowment

As Santa Clara graduates who met and married on campus, and now parents of three Bronco alumni, Santa Clara University provided Henry and Marilyn Hansel the opportunity to grow as individuals and learn from their classmates, professors, and fellow undergraduates. To honor the 51 years since their graduation in 1970, Henry and Marilyn (Hess) Hansel established the Henry and Marilyn (Hess) Hansel Scholarship Endowment on August 18, 2021 so that future students may have similar experiences, enjoy lifelong friendships, and continue to positively influence the world. It was their intent to provide an opportunity for the children and grandchildren of fellow SCU alumni to grow as individuals just as they had through the Ignatian education provided by their alma mater.

Impact

The purpose of the Henry and Marilyn (Hess) Hansel Scholarship Endowment (the “Fund”) is to provide need-based financial support to undergraduate students who are children or grandchildren of Santa Clara University undergraduate alumni who could not financially attend SCU without financial assistance.
