J.W. Bagley Foundation Scholarship
The J. W. Bagley Foundation Scholarship was established in 1998 by the J.W. Bagley Foundation.
James Bagley and family move their philanthropy though the J. W. Bagley Foundation. The family’s philanthropy protitizes Northern California, Texas, and Mississippi. Funding interests include education and human services.
James W. Bagley earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University. He spent 15 years each at Texas Instruments and Applied Materials. Bagley went on to serve as chairman of the bard and CEO of Lam Research Corporation, a global supplier of silicon wafer processing systems used to manufacture semiconductor integrated circuits.
Impact
This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance for deserving freshman, sophomore, junior and senior with demonstrated financial need. All returning students must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
