Paul Locatelli, S.J., Endowed Minority Scholarship Fund
Paul Locatelli, S.J. was the beloved 27th President of Santa Clara University and and an alum, class of 1961. Fr. Locatelli was elected to four terms as SCU President, a tribute to his outstanding abilities and balanced leadership style. Fr. Locatelli was highly esteemed by his Jesuit and lay colleagues. His peers found him “generous, sensitive, and cooperative,” and praised his “clear and accurate judgment” and leadership qualities. He was a deeply spiritual man.
Impact
The Paul Locatelli, S.J., Endowed Minority Scholarship Fund was established on Nov. 22, 2002, by Dr. Frank Greene to honor former SCU President Paul Locatelli, S.J. This scholarship provides financial assistance for minority undergraduate students at Santa Clara University who demonstrate good academic standing and financial need.
