Richard and Mary Cay Sherman Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Richard and Mary Cay Sherman Endowed Scholarship Fund was established on December 14th, 2017 by Richard and Mary Cay Sherman. Richard Sherman received his bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering in 1961 before returning to complete his master’s in 1964. After a long and successful career, Richard Sherman returned to the University to work as a professor of Electrical Engineering from the mid-1980s through 2010 and found joy in teaching student’s a novel concept. Mary Sherman also served as the Dean of Women at Santa Clara University beginning in 1969.
Impact
The purpose of Richard and Mary Cay Sherman Endowed Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships for deserving undergraduate students in the School of Engineering.
