The Burke Family Scholarship for Business Analytics in honor of Dr. Mario Belotti

The Burke Family Scholarship for Business Analytics in honor of Dr. Mario Belotti was created on November 22, 2019 by William F. Burke ‘64.

As an alumnus and a loyal supporter of the University, William wanted to honor the profound impact that Dr. Mario Belotti had on his life, from shaping how he thinks to his professional path. William graduated in 1964 and enrolled in a number of Dr. Belotti’s courses. After graduation, Belotti’s teachings contributed to resonate with William and inspired him to pursue a career as a financial advisor in Ventura County. William’s career has been long and fulfilling; he raised four beautiful children, and has the great fortune of sharing his current practice with two of them. This gift recognizes that so much of what William has accomplished came to gruitiation at SCU through Dr. Belotti, and he is forever grateful for that.

The Masters in Business Analytics degree within the Leavey School of Business is an innovative program that blends the business acumen with data analysis and prepares students for careers in one of the fastest, growing, most in-demand fields in tech. This gift will support a passion of Dr. Belotti’s who recognized the future of business in Silicon Valley as being driven by data.
