The Edward George Ottoboni Endowed Scholarship, in Memory of Frank and Lucille Ottoboni

The Edward George Ottoboni Endowed Scholarship (in Memory of Frank and Lucille Ottoboni) was established on February 11, 2022 by a gift through his estate.

Edward Ottoboni, born in June 1941 in San Mateo, was known for his sweet and kind demeanor. He attended Junipero Serra High School, Santa Clara University and later Stanford University. He was devout catholic and a regular supporter of his Church St. Mathews. He spent his career working for SRI International in Menlo Park as a Senior Technical Advisor in the Communications and Signals Technology Laboratory. He was fond of his parents Frank and Lucille, and the warmth and care they provided him. His success was a product of their influence so Edward wished to dedicate this wonderful gift to their memory. This gift will provide scholarship opportunities to students to ensure they can receive a transformative education, much like he did.

Impact

The purpose of the Edward George Ottoboni Endowed Scholarship (in Memory of Frank and Lucille Ottoboni) is to provide scholarship and financial support for undergraduate students at Santa Clara University with financial need.
