Dr. James “Jim” Andre ’69 is a retired professor of finance. Jim taught at The University of Southern California (USC), Loyola Marymount University, California Polytechnic State University and Santa Monica College. A majority of his career was spent at USC, where he taught clinical finance and business economics. Prior to teaching, he began his career as an accounting clerk, eventually working his way up to president and chief operating officer of businesses involved in entertainment, manufacturing, mortgage banking, real estate and retail. In addition to founding and developing a chain of retail clothing stores, he worked as financial control manager of the architecture/construction department of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee.

Jim and his husband, Paul Kellogg, established the LGBTQ+ Endowed Scholarship Fund in 2017 to help students who would not otherwise have the same invaluable experience as Jim.
