The Wells Fargo Endowed Scholarship Fund, formally known as the First Interstate Endowed Scholarship, was established in 1992 by the Board of Directors of the First Interstate Bank of California Foundation. At the time, it was referred to as the First Interstate Endowed Scholarship. Wells Fargo purchased First Interstate Bank on April 1, 1996 and subsequently executed a name change to reflect the acquisition.
Impact
The Wells Fargo Endowed Scholarship will provide financial support for under-represented minority students with a financial need in their junior or senior year who are pursuing studies in Business or the Liberal Arts.
