Latimer Energy Lab (LEL) Scholarship Fund

The Latimer Energy Lab Scholarship Fund was established in 2011. The scholarship supports a teaching and research program in the area of sustainable energy, with an initial emphasis on photovoltaic. The “Scholars” or recipients are a group of undergraduate and graduate engineering students who will be selected by the engineering faculty to participate in the program. If the selected Scholars develop in their learning, they are invited to continue as Scholars throughout their four years. Each term and each year they accomplish more sophisticated tasks and they also act as mentors for younger participants. It is a specific goal of the program that graduating Scholars be among the best-educated undergraduate sustainable energy students in the country. Graduate students are admitted as Scholars on an ad-hoc basis with their activities dependent on their experience in the field. The University shall notify Jolon and Michael Wagner of the recipients of the awards.
