Janice M. Kyne Endowed Scholarship
CPE Identifies: The Janice M. Kyne Endowed Scholarship was established on July 31, 2007 by Mr. Jack Kyne in memory of his wife to provide financial assistance to graduate students enrolled in the Special Education Program. Candidates for this scholarship fund must demonstrate the following positive qualities that were the hallmark of Janice M. Kyne’s professional career: a sensitivity about the needs and issues of special education students and their families, a compassion for every individual’s unique situation, an ability to work effectively for the best interests of special education students, and dedication to the field of special education. Candidates must have completed at least nine units of work in Special Education with a minimum grade point average of 3.3 and must demonstrate financial need. The Janice Kyne Memorial Endowed Scholarship is intended to be used to financially assist candidates in the graduate Special Education program. Qualified candidates will submit an application from to the Director of Special Education at SCU along with no more than two letters of recommendation from a supervisor who can attest to the candidate’s qualifications based upon the criteria for selection. Application must be submitted no later than six weeks prior to the winter quarter.
